About This Activity

Prague Castle is one of the largest and most remarkable castle complexes in the world, and this exclusive guided tour allows you to skip the long queues and step directly into the heart of history. Located on a hilltop, the castle offers breathtaking views of Prague and a glimpse into the rich past of the Bohemian kings. With your expert local guide, you’ll explore the ancient walls and corridors where rulers once walked, uncovering stories of power, betrayal, and grandeur.

Start your journey with a visit to St. Vitus Cathedral, an awe-inspiring Gothic structure that dominates the skyline. Admire its intricate stained-glass windows and towering spires, which are considered masterpieces of medieval architecture. The cathedral houses the tombs of many Bohemian kings and emperors, adding an extra layer of historical significance to this already spectacular site.

Next, delve into the Old Royal Palace, where the kings of Bohemia once resided. The grand Vladislav Hall is a particular highlight, known for its stunning vaulted ceilings and impressive acoustics, once used for royal ceremonies and tournaments.

Your tour continues with a visit to Golden Lane, a charming street lined with small, colorful houses once inhabited by castle guards, goldsmiths, and other craftsmen. This enchanting lane gives you a glimpse into the humble lives of the people who lived and worked within the castle walls. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Daliborka Tower, which was once a prison and is now home to exhibitions about the castle's past.

At the end of the tour, you will have an in-depth understanding of the castle's rich history, from its medieval origins to its modern-day significance as the seat of the Czech presidency. Your guide will be available to answer any questions, ensuring a truly immersive and informative experience. We had a fantastic walking tour with Hannah, who was very knowledgeable and efficient. She helped our group skip lines and guided us through the Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and St. George's Chapel with great insight. Highly recommend this tour with included entry tickets.

Although I had seen some negative comments about this tour operator's professionalism and flexibility, my experience was very positive. We accidentally purchased tickets for the castle tour while already at the castle, just 15 minutes before it began. With our 9-month-old baby, reaching the original meeting point wasn't possible. However, a quick call to Fun in Prague quickly resolved the issue—they provided the guide's direct number, and we arranged to meet him nearby to join the group without any problems.

Magda was an excellent guide—knowledgeable and approachable, making the tour engaging throughout. It would have been nice to re-enter the castle after the tour, but since the ticket allowed only a single entry, I wasn't able to go back and explore more.

I booked the Prague Castle tour last minute, but the ticket email arrived too late to join. Communication was difficult, and I had to buy entry separately for a self-guided visit. The experience was okay, but next time I'll book locally to avoid problems.
