Ephesus ancient city is the city that built on the coasts of Ionia, nowadays in the borders of Izmir, Turkey. Ephesus city was built 10th century BC by Ionian colonists. It was one of the twelve cities of Ionian league. This city was flourished since then it came under the rule of Roman empire.
Citys fame came with a nearby wonder, one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World, Temple of Artemis. There are also widely known wonders in Ephesus like Library of Celsus and the theatre capable of holding more than 25.000 guests.
