This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill and connect with the local community in a meaningful way. It is a fun, creative, and meditative experience perfectly suited for individuals, families, and groups of friends.
To start, a professional local artist will demonstrate how to make a Cambodian masterpiece. Then, our experienced potters—including our talented deaf and mute teachers—will guide you as you shape your own ceramic pieces on a traditional pottery wheel. Using local clay, you will have the chance to create up to five unique items.
Once you have finished at the wheel, you will learn how to add Khmer Kbach (traditional ornamentation) to your work using professional carving tools. You will receive a Potter’s Diploma after your class—a special souvenir to take home and share with your loved ones!
