Marmaris: Perfume Workshop with Custom Fragrance

Four of us popped in on a whim and spent two pleasant hours learning and creating. The instructor explained how top notes evaporate quickly and how base notes anchor a perfume — that made mixing more logical. I liked how the session encouraged experimentation while keeping things tidy; bottles and labels were all provided. We each walked out with something different and a story to tell at dinner that night. Good for groups who want something calm but hands-on.

We booked a mother-daughter activity and both came away impressed — my teenager actually paid attention and enjoyed mixing scents. The workshop suited different experience levels: there was enough explanation for beginners, and enough variety for someone more adventurous. The organic refreshments were appreciated, and the setting felt cozy and clean. We left with two distinct 50 ml vials and the perfumer even suggested variations to try next time. A gentle, memorable few hours.

I enjoyed the mix of hands-on time and explanation — learning the pyramid made the tasting feel purpose-driven. The oils were high quality and there was a huge variety (citrus, woods, spice) to sample at leisure. The staff gave good, non-pushy guidance and encouraged me to trust my instincts, which I liked. My final blend smelled subtle but complex; the finishing label and bottle made it feel like a real product. Worth the price if you want something creative and calm in town.
