Experience the traditions of the Berber people, enjoy authentic Moroccan cuisine, and sleep under the stars at a desert camp.

Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Benhaddou – Dades Valley

Your journey begins with a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains, passing charming Berber villages along the way. The first major stop is the UNESCO-listed Aït Benhaddou, an iconic fortified village famous for its historic kasbahs and appearances in Hollywood films. Take your time to explore the village and learn about its cultural significance. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Ouarzazate, also known as the "Gate of the Sahara."

From Ouarzazate, travel through the picturesque Dades Valley, known for its lush greenery and dramatic rock formations. Arrive in Boumalne Dades in the evening, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night at a charming kasbah hotel surrounded by stunning views of the valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast, continue your journey to Tinghir, where you'll visit the spectacular Todgha Gorges. These towering canyon walls are perfect for a relaxing walk or capturing stunning photos of the natural scenery. After some free time in the gorges, stop for lunch at a local café before heading to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, meet your camel caravan for an unforgettable trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, where the golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see. As the sun sets, watch the desert landscape transform into a sea of glowing orange hues. Arrive at your desert camp before nightfall and settle into your private tent.

Under the stars, enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner while local Berber nomads entertain you with traditional Tam Tam drum music. Spend the night in your tent, with options to upgrade to a luxury desert camp featuring private ensuite bathrooms and 5-star amenities for added comfort.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Begin your day early with the chance to witness a stunning desert sunrise (optional) before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Ride camels back to the main road, where your driver will be waiting for the return trip to Marrakech.

Travel back through Ouarzazate, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. As you journey through the changing landscapes, from the vast Sahara to the rugged mountains, take in the beauty of Morocco’s diverse geography. Arrive back in Marrakech around 8:00 PM, where you’ll be dropped off at your original departure point or the bustling Djemaa El Fna Square.

The visit to Ait Ben Haddou was excellent, and our guide Mohammed (not to be confused with our driver) was captivating a truly wonderful experience. However, the guide at the Todgha Gorges, whose name we won’t mention, provided no real guidance. His main aim seemed to be taking us to a friend’s carpet shop, which our group did not appreciate.

I had an amazing experience on the Sahara tour. Everything was extremely well organized and went beyond my expectations. Abderrahmane was an exceptional guide friendly, attentive to every detail, and always ensuring everyone’s comfort. Thanks to him, the trip was not only comfortable but also truly special. I would absolutely recommend it 100%. An unforgettable experience!

We were very pleased with the entire tour. Our driver and guide, Oussama, made everything run smoothly planning breaks, explaining everything, and assisting us whenever needed. The Atlas Mountains and the old city were truly impressive, and the Sahara, including sandboarding, is highly recommended. We visited in mid summer (June/July), and unfortunately, it was extremely hot in the desert camp, making it almost impossible to sleep.

This was my second visit to Morocco, but it was by far the best. An incredible experience, made even better by our tour guide, Abderrahmane Abbassi. I’m Italian, and it was great to connect with him since he speaks a little Italian having a local guide who can communicate in your language is invaluable. The activities were amazing, leaving you with a deeper understanding of the culture while enjoying an unforgettable vacation experience.
