About This Activity

Day 1: Marrakech / Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou / Dades Gorges or Tinghir

Upon meeting at your hotel in Marrakech, we will begin our journey towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, a road that rises 2260 meters above sea level. As we pass through small villages, waterfalls, and ever-changing landscapes, we can stop for a refreshing cup of mint tea and admire the scenic views. Continuing, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its role in films such as The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, and The Shelter Sky. After exploring the kasbah, we will drive through the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley, reaching either Dades Gorges or Tinghir for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Dades Gorges or Tinghir / Todra Gorges / Merzouga

After breakfast, we will drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Tineghir village and the Jewish Kasbah, before arriving at the spectacular Todra Gorges. Here, you will have time to walk through the gorges before continuing on to Merzouga Desert, via Erfoud. We will arrive in Merzouga before sunset, where we will leave our vehicle and embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a truly unforgettable experience. Spend the night in a Berber tent, enjoying a traditional dinner, accompanied by drums and songs of the Berber, Touareg, and Southern Moroccan communities, beneath a blanket of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga / Rissani / Ouarzazate

Start the day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes, located near the Algerian border, approximately 50 km from Merzouga. After returning to the hotel by camel, freshen up and enjoy breakfast. We will then depart for Ouarzazate, taking a scenic route through Nakob village and the Draa Valley. We will stop for tea and a visit to Agdz before continuing to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night at a hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate / High Atlas Mountains / Marrakech

After breakfast, we will visit Ouarzazate, including the Kasbah of Taourirt and Atlas Studios, the largest and most famous film studios in Africa. Following this, we will travel through the scenic High Atlas Mountains, making our way back to Marrakech. We will arrive in the afternoon and drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of the tour.
