About This Activity

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Tinghir
Your journey begins with a morning departure from Marrakech, heading into the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Along the way, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of mountain valleys and traditional Berber villages. The first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village famous for its mudbrick architecture and its appearance in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the ksar, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco," and then through the Valley of Roses to reach Tinghir, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a local guesthouse or hotel.

Day 2: Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, visit the dramatic Todra Gorges, where you can walk between the towering cliffs carved by a crystal-clear river. Then travel deeper into the desert region, passing through towns like Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where you’ll start to see the landscape shift from rocky terrain to golden dunes. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. Embark on a peaceful camel ride through the dunes, just in time to witness a magical sunset over Erg Chebbi. After reaching the desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with tea and dinner, followed by an evening of traditional Berber music around the campfire beneath the star-filled sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, a truly unforgettable sight. After breakfast and a shower at the camp or nearby lodge, begin the return journey to Marrakech. You’ll travel through the Draa Valley or High Atlas Mountains, stopping for breaks and photo opportunities along the way. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the early evening, concluding your epic journey through Morocco’s southern wonders.

This trip was unforgettable, especially thanks to the professionalism and kindness of Salah, our driver, and Said, our guide. From the start, their warmth and attention to detail made everything both fun and comfortable. Salah was an excellent driver—always punctual, very careful, and made every journey feel safe. Said, on the other hand, was the heart of the group. His passion for desert culture, willingness to answer questions, and ability to share stories brought the whole experience to life. Truly memorable. YALLA!

Abdul and Yassine were incredible—patient, kind, and excellent at communicating with everyone. The trip had plenty of activities, camel rides, and a desert camp stay. Booking a tent with a private bathroom was worth it. Bring a charger for all your devices—you’ll take many photos and videos! A truly once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
