About This Activity

This 3-day tour is the perfect blend of Morocco’s diverse landscapes, rich culture, and fascinating history. Starting in Fes, one of the country’s most historic cities, your journey takes you across the Middle Atlas Mountains, through charming Berber villages, and deep into the Sahara Desert at Merzouga. The drive itself offers stunning views of rugged terrain, valleys, and oases, which will leave you in awe. As you venture further into the desert, you’ll get the opportunity to ride camels across the golden dunes, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Each day of the tour reveals a new aspect of Morocco, from traditional towns to modern-day cultural marvels.

One of the highlights of the tour is your experience in the Sahara Desert, specifically in Merzouga. After a scenic drive, you’ll find yourself standing at the base of towering sand dunes. The camel ride at sunset is a magical experience, as the sun dips below the horizon, casting golden light across the sea of sand. After your ride, you’ll be taken to a traditional desert camp where you’ll spend the night under a blanket of stars. The desert is one of Morocco’s most iconic landscapes, and this experience offers an intimate, peaceful escape from the bustle of daily life.

On your way to Marrakech, you’ll pass through several important landmarks, including the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These ancient earthen structures have been used in various Hollywood films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. The kasbahs are part of the rich architectural heritage of Morocco, showcasing the unique Berber style of building. Along with these historic monuments, you’ll also get a chance to visit local Berber villages where you can learn about traditional ways of life, the hospitality of the people, and Morocco’s rural culture. These experiences offer a deep dive into Morocco's ancient past and its enduring traditions.

This tour is more than just a road trip through beautiful scenery. Along the way, you’ll visit historic cities such as Ifrane and Midelt, where you can explore charming medinas, visit ancient souks, and even try local Moroccan dishes like tagine and couscous. The cultural diversity you’ll encounter reflects Morocco's unique blend of Arab, Berber, and French influences. Whether you’re exploring a bustling market, marveling at historical ruins, or enjoying the warm hospitality of your hosts, every stop will teach you something new about Morocco's fascinating past and vibrant present.

Throughout the tour, you’ll be traveling in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with a knowledgeable local guide who will ensure you have an unforgettable experience. Accommodation is carefully selected to ensure your comfort, with stays at hotels and desert camps that provide an authentic yet cozy experience. The tour is designed to be enjoyable for all travelers, whether you’re a history enthusiast, an adventure seeker, or someone looking to immerse yourself in Morocco’s natural beauty.

If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. The true highlight of the trip was our driver, Mohamed Ait Ouaghlad. He shares everything with you in the most genuine way, goes out of his way to ensure everyone feels included, and has an incredibly kind heart. If you’re looking for someone authentic, honest, and genuinely funny, Mohamed is the person. The entire journey was exceptionally well organized, and the guides we met along the way, like Ahmed, made the experience unforgettable. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to laugh, smile, and learn about Moroccan culture. Thank you, Mohamed, for everything—we will miss you greatly and hope you get to read this.
