This expertly crafted tour blends breathtaking natural beauty, unique activities, and authentic Moroccan experiences, making it the perfect getaway for travelers seeking both relaxation and excitement.

On Day 1, your journey begins with an early departure from Fes, taking you through the captivating landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first stop is in Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its charming Alpine architecture and snow-covered winters. Here, you’ll marvel at the European-inspired aesthetics before continuing to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to playful Barbary monkeys. This is a delightful stop for nature lovers and photographers alike.

As you ascend through the rugged beauty of the Atlas Mountains, the scenery transforms, showcasing a mix of jagged cliffs, verdant valleys, and traditional Berber villages. Midway, enjoy a relaxing lunch break in Midelt (lunch not included), a quaint town nestled at the base of the mountains. The journey resumes with a scenic descent toward the desert, offering panoramic views of lush oases and palm groves before arriving in Erfoud or Merzouga. Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable hotel, setting the stage for the adventures ahead.

On Day 2, start with breakfast before exploring the fascinating fossil shops of Erfoud, a town renowned for its prehistoric treasures. Next, visit Rissani, the birthplace of Morocco’s Alawite Dynasty, where you can explore historical Kasbahs and vibrant markets. From here, venture deeper into the desert, arriving at Merzouga, a gateway to the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi.

In Merzouga, you’ll join a camel caravan for a serene ride into the dunes, experiencing the sheer tranquility of the desert and marveling at the breathtaking sunset from atop the golden sands. Arrive at a traditional desert camp, where the evening unfolds with a sumptuous Moroccan dinner under the starlit sky. The night comes alive with traditional Saharan music, storytelling, and stargazing, offering an enchanting glimpse into the local culture.

On Day 3, wake up early to witness a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise over the dunes—a memory you’ll cherish forever. After breakfast, journey back to Fes through the lush Ziz Valley, a region dotted with verdant date palms and picturesque villages. There was a lot of time spent on the road! The day in the desert was fantastic, but I would recommend a Fez-to-Marrakech route rather than returning to Fez like I did.
