Our guide for the evening was Hawary, and he was absolutely fantastic. I have a deep interest in history and culture, and he generously shared his extensive knowledge of the city with us. He patiently answered all of our questions and curiosities, and more. The tour included a visit to the Heavenly Cathedral, followed by the Al Mustafa Mosque, and then a brief stop at the Old Town, where we had about half an hour to explore on our own. This might not have been enough time for this particular tour. I had hoped for a more detailed guided tour of the souk, similar to the one I experienced in Marrakesh, but the Old Town isn't nearly as large or busy. To wrap up the evening, he took us to a beautiful viewpoint of the city and explained that it overlooks the point where Africa meets Asia. Overall, we had a great time.
