About This Activity

Get ready for an extraordinary journey from Antalya to Pamukkale, a place where nature and history blend seamlessly. This full-day tour takes you to the “Cotton Castle” of Pamukkale, one of the most iconic places in Turkey, and the ancient city of Hierapolis. Famous for its shimmering white travertines, Pamukkale offers an extraordinary landscape shaped by the mineral-rich waters that have flowed for thousands of years. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural wonder is a must-see for travelers looking for a unique experience.

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from a convenient hotel in Antalya and continues with a scenic drive through the countryside. Along the way, your professional guide will share interesting information about the history, geology and cultural significance of Pamukkale. When you arrive, you will be immediately struck by the surreal beauty of the white terraces flowing down the hillside. Walking barefoot on the travertines is not only a unique sensory experience, but also an opportunity to connect intimately with this natural wonder.

After exploring the travertines, the tour continues to the ancient city of Hierapolis, a place steeped in history. Founded by the Romans as a healing center, Hierapolis was famous for its thermal springs and spiritual significance. During the tour, you will visit the well-preserved theater, which once held thousands of spectators, and wander through the vast necropolis, which contains over a thousand ancient tombs. Other highlights include the Roman Baths, the Temple of Apollo, and the Plutonium, a cave believed to be the entrance to the underworld.

One of the highlights of the tour is the Cleopatra Pool, a hot, mineral-rich thermal pool surrounded by ancient ruins. According to legend, Cleopatra herself swam in these healing waters. Although access to the pool is optional, many guests find bathing among the sunken Roman columns to be an unforgettable experience.

A delicious buffet lunch is included in your itinerary, allowing you to recharge your batteries with a variety of authentic Turkish dishes. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the site at your own pace, take photos, or simply enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding landscape.

As the day draws to a close, you will begin your journey back to Antalya and return to your hotel with memories of an incredible experience. This tour is perfect for travelers of all interests, whether you are fascinated by history, drawn to the wonders of nature, or simply looking for a relaxing yet enriching day.

Our visit to Pamukkale was excellent! The pickup was punctual, and we began the tour at Hierapolis where our guide, provided detailed explanations about the site. Afterwards, we headed to the Pamukkale Travertines and had plenty of time to take in and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. The lunch was enjoyable, and we returned to the hotel right on schedule. Ibrahim was very friendly and well-informed about the locations we explored. I truly enjoyed the entire experience.

The tour was fantastic, and we had a wonderful time! Although it required an early start and a lengthy journey, it was absolutely worthwhile. Our guide was very charismatic and approachable, sharing detailed information about all the sites we visited. Even our two young children, ages 5 and 7, were engaged and enjoyed interacting with him throughout the day. We highly recommend this experience!
